Experience the highlights of Western Canada with a Dutch-speaking guide: from the Canadian Rocky Mountains to the natural beauty of Vancouver Island. We begin with Banff, Yoho, and Jasper National Parks. Passing through the many waterfalls of the Cariboo Mountains in Wells Gray Provincial Park, we then head toward the Garibaldi Mountains, staying in charming Whistler. We’ll cross over to Vancouver Island to explore the natural beauty and marine wildlife near Campbell River and Quadra Island, before discovering the British influences in Victoria. We’ll finish our journey in the metropolis of Vancouver, a city literally nestled between mountains and the ocean.

Day 1 - August 18, 2026: Brussels - Banff National Park
Departure from Brussels on Air Canada, via Montreal, to Calgary. Arrival in the afternoon, where we’ll meet our driver for the trip. A short 90-minute drive takes us to the majestic mountains of Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. The hotel is a 1.5-kilometer walk from Main Street Canmore, which features numerous boutiques, galleries, bars, and restaurants. Free evening in Canmore.

Day 2 - August 19, 2026: Banff National Park
We start the day with a brief visit to Banff Village and the Banff Gondola for a panoramic view from Sulphur Mountain. Afterward, we take a spectacular hike through Johnstone Canyon, a gorge featuring stunning waterfalls and scenery. We leave Banff for Yoho National Park, where we visit Natural Rock Bridge before enjoying a unique lunch at Emerald Lake. In the afternoon, the spectacular turquoise lakes of Lake Louise and Lake Moraine await us, arguably Canada’s most famous lakes. Free evening in Canmore.

Day 3 - August 20, 2026: Banff National Park - Jasper National Park
We depart from Banff and drive through one of the most beautiful sections of the Icefields Parkway. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Crowfoot Glacier Viewpoint, Bow Lake, and the iconic Peyto Lake to take in the impressive panoramic views. Around noon, we’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch at The Crossing Resort. In the afternoon, we’ll take the Columbia Icefield Explorer Tour, where we’ll experience the glacier ice up close, followed by stops at Sunwapta Falls and Athabasca Falls. At the end of the day, we’ll drive on to the hotel in Hinton, our minds filled with unforgettable impressions of nature.

Day 4 - August 21, 2026: Jasper National Park
We start the day with a hike through Maligne Canyon, where we’ll admire deep gorges and a swirling river. Afterward, we’ll drive to Maligne Lake for a leisurely boat ride across the clear blue waters, with an iconic photo opportunity at Spirit Island, surrounded by imposing mountain peaks. We’ll have lunch on our own at the Chalet Maligne Lake Restaurant. In the afternoon, we take the Jasper SkyTram up for a panoramic view of the Rockies, after which we return to the hotel in Hinton.

Day 5 - August 22, 2026: Jasper National Park - Wells Gray Provincial Park
We’ll depart from Hinton and head to the Mount Robson Visitor Center, where we’ll hike the Overlander Falls Long Trail and enjoy rugged scenery and views of the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. After the hike, we drive on to Blue River for a leisurely lunch at The Forest Table Restaurant. In the afternoon, we go on an Eco Safari in Blue River, searching for wildlife along the shores of a glacial lake in a spacious catamaran canoe. Afterward, we continue our journey toward Clearwater for a free evening and overnight stay.

Day 6 - August 23, 2026: Wells Gray Provincial Park
We’ll spend the day in Wells Gray Provincial Park, a paradise of waterfalls and vast wilderness. We’ll start with Spahats Creek Falls and Shaden Viewpoint, followed by a hike to Moul Falls, where we’ll experience the waterfall up close. In the park, we enjoy lunch surrounded by nature. In the afternoon, we visit the impressive Helmcken Falls, then Dawson Falls, and finally Baileys Chute, where the swirling water creates a spectacular sight.

Day 7 - August 24, 2026: Wells Gray Provincial Park - Whistler
We depart from Clearwater and drive toward Kamloops for a quick coffee break. We then follow a scenic route to Lillooet, where we’ll have lunch at Lillooet Brewing Co. In the afternoon, we’ll hike the short Seton Lake Lookout Trail, which offers views of the clear blue lake, followed by a walk to Nairn Falls. At the end of the day, we’ll continue on to Whistler, where we’ll arrive after a varied day filled with nature and panoramic views.

Day 8 - August 25, 2026: Whistler
We’ll spend a full day in Whistler, dedicated entirely to relaxation and leisure. Those who wish can optionally take the gondola up into the mountains for stunning views or rent a mountain bike to actively explore the area. There’s also the option to take a spectacular floatplane tour. This day is yours to spend as you like, making it ideal for enjoying the lively atmosphere in Whistler.

Day 9 - August 26: Whistler - Campbell River
We leave Whistler and follow the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway toward the coast. Along the way, we stop at Brandywine Falls and visit Shannon Falls, after which we take the Sea to Sky Gondola to enjoy stunning views of the mountains and fjords. We then drive to Horseshoe Bay and take the ferry to Vancouver Island, with time for a leisurely lunch on board. Upon arrival, we continue from Nanaimo to Campbell River, where we end the day.

Day 10 - August 27, 2026: Campbell River
We start the day with an exciting 4-hour whale-watching tour by zodiac, during which we’ll search for orcas, whales, and other marine life along the coast. After this impressive experience, there will be some free time in Campbell River Village for lunch on your own. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Elk Falls Provincial Park, where we’ll hike through the forest and explore the impressive waterfalls and suspension bridge.

Day 11 - August 28, 2026: Campbell River
We depart from Campbell River and take the ferry to Quadra Island, where tranquility, nature, and island life take center stage. On the island, we explore the picturesque coastline, dense forests, and viewpoints overlooking the sea and mountains, with plenty of time to hike and experience the unspoiled surroundings. We’ll enjoy the relaxed atmosphere that makes Quadra Island so special, far away from the hustle and bustle. In the afternoon, we’ll return by ferry to Campbell River after a day dedicated entirely to nature and island charm.

Day 12 - August 29, 2026: Campbell River - Victoria
We check out and drive toward Nanaimo, where we stop for lunch at a trendy brewpub. We then continue on to Victoria. Upon arrival in Victoria, we take a stroll along Victoria’s Inner Harbour to get a first impression of the city. Those who wish can learn about First Nations culture at the Royal BC Museum. The rest of the afternoon and evening are free for relaxation.

Day 13 - August 30, 2026: Victoria - Vancouver
We’ll enjoy a free morning in Victoria. Those who wish can explore the city further on their own. Afterward, we’ll head to Swartz Bay and take a ferry around noon along the beautiful Discovery Islands to the mainland, with a free lunch on board. Upon arrival, we’ll drive on to our hotel in Vancouver. In the late afternoon, we’ll take a group walk and enjoy a water taxi ride. We’ll end the day at sunset with a well-deserved aperitif overlooking the skyline. The rest of the evening is free to experience Vancouver at your own pace.

Day 14 - August 31, 2026: Vancouver
We’ll start the day with a half-day guided bike tour of Vancouver, exploring various neighborhoods and cycling through the lush Stanley Park with a local guide. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to relax or continue exploring the city at your own pace. In the evening, we’ll wrap up the trip with a festive farewell dinner together.

Day 15 - September 1, 2026: Vancouver - Brussels
After breakfast, we’ll be picked up at the hotel and driven to the airport. We leave Canada behind after a truly diverse journey filled with breathtaking nature, vibrant cities, and unforgettable experiences, from the Rockies to the Pacific Coast. Return flight to Brussels, via Frankfurt, on Air Canada. Overnight stay on board.
Day 16 - September 2, 2026: Brussels
We arrive in Brussels and head home after an unforgettable tour of Canada. With a suitcase full of memories, we look back on an extraordinary journey through impressive mountain landscapes, untamed nature, waterfalls, and lakes, combined with vibrant cities and unique experiences. The many encounters, activities, and panoramic views make this trip an experience we will cherish for a long time to come.
